Orange Jordan and HTU launch village to develop digital skills

Orange Jordan and Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) launched the Orange Village at the university to provide students with an interactive area to enhance their digital skills and generate new solutions.

The opening was attended by Thierry Marigny, CEO of Orange Jordan, and Prof. Ismael AlHinti, President of HTU.

Located in HTU's main building at King Hussein Business Park, Orange Village will contain a number of educational and entertainment digital solutions that will boost students' knowledge and abilities in emerging disciplines such as gaming, in keeping with the scope of activity of the university's Gaming Club.

During the ceremony, Marigny reaffirmed the company's and HTU's collaboration to assist students in developing their digital transformation abilities. He stated that the new village shows Orange Jordan's dedication to digital education on a wide scale as a responsible digital leader, as well as its relationships with academic institutions.

"The town is an extension of Orange Jordan's efforts to foster gaming," Marigny noted. The Coding Academy by Orange is actively educating newcomers to design games, taking into account gaming's relevance, growth, economic viability, and job and entrepreneurial potential. Last year, total gaming revenues in the Middle East and North Africa reached roughly USD 488 million."

AlHinti, emphasized the significance of the village, which focuses on a new field of digital growth, gaming. He noted that if given the opportunity, youth have a lot to offer, which the university hopes to achieve through its cooperation with Orange Jordan.

Previously, Orange Jordan sponsored HTU's Student Hub and CORE@HTU incubator and accelerator, both of which are part of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Excellence (CIEE), in order to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem and assist tech-based startups in launching projects, expanding, and increasing their investment attractiveness.
