French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness Franck Riester in a one day visit to Amman

French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness Franck Riester visited Amman on Monday 23rd of November where he met several Jordanian personalities, He began by a visit to the Senate President Faisal Fayez and went over various issues of mutual concern.

Fayez said that Jordan is a state of institutions and law that believes in the freedom of speech and expression within the law, and “completely rejects offending prophets and messengers under any pretext”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He also called for dealing firmly and decisively with whoever seeks to incite religious or racial discord, urging France to have a “clear stance that rejects such actions against prophets and messengers”.

Riester highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation between Paris and Amman, adding that France is interested in boosting its relations with Arab and Islamic countries, mainly Jordan that has “distinguished” ties with France.

He also said that “France rejects offending prophets and messengers and respects Islam” that is the second religion in his country in terms of followers,

Mr. Riester have also met Mr. Nael Kabariti President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce and several other Jordanian dignitaries including the Chairman of CCI France Jordanie/CAFRAJ and CEOs of French companies active in Jordan.
