The Franco Jordanian Chamber of Commerce –CAFRAJ-organized in collaboration with the French Embassy in Jordan and Institut Français de Jordanie the Second French Week in Jordan which took place between 20th to 26th of November 2016 in several prominent venues of Amman.
The French Week aimed at highlighting and promoting the strong French presence in the Kingdom. The week included activities in all fields: commercial, economic, cultural, education as well as French gastronomy.
During the whole week of 20-26 November 2016, French expertise, companies, culture, sports, education, knowhow and “art de vivre” were showcased and celebrated through various activities.

Inauguration of the French Week by a press Conference by H.E Aqel Biltaji, H.E Mr. David Bertolotti and CAFRAJ President Mr. Ahmad Armoush.
“Le French Marché” showcasing French companies active in Jordan will be exhibiting in this lively pedestrian street their expertise and products for the Jordanian people to discover and enjoy.
The French Week was also celebrating French culture: on the 21st of November 2016, an art Exhibition by French Sculptor Mr. Patrick Renauld was inaugurated under the patronage of HRH Princess Wijdan in the Jordan Gallery of Fine Arts .
On this occasion, Institut Français de Jordanie, the French cultural institute in Jordan, is organizing a photography exhibition by French photographer Mia Flore which was inaugurated on the same day showcasing photography about France and French regions in a poetic manner.
The French week also celebrated French Cuisine through the organization of the CAFRAJ Gala Dinner by a 2 Michelin Stars French Chef Mr. Stephane Buron.
French music was also highlighted in a Piano Concert animated by French Pianist Orlando Bass and Jordanian Pianist Rania Ejeilat in a musical evening taking place in Al Hussein Cultural Centre.
The French Marché pesented “Parkour Paris”. Parkour, in between sports and performing arts, was initially developed in France. It performed in the Boulevard Abdali on the weekend of 25-26 November 2016.
Parkour Paris team was in Amman to perform this beautiful sport. This unique event was sponsored by the famous French Garment Brand Lacoste, Lacoste‘s slogan “Life is a beautiful Sport” reflects their belief in youth and dynamism, therefore, they brought this lively sport to Jordan.
